About the Author
My name is Morgan- I'm the adult version of the little lady you see to the left.
Who would have thought that the quiet but adventurous kid dressing up for her grandmother's photo shoot would be here someday. Definitely not her!
When the photographer grandmother passed away in 2015, I inherited 7 tubs filled with documents and photos (completely disorganized by this point), a lack of understanding of one of the most important women in my life, and a passion to know her, and the ones who came before her, better.
Here I am today, 23, with a Bachelor's degree in Global Studies, a loving life partner, two beautiful kitties and an absolutely entertaining Quaker Parrot, and a year and a half of genealogy research (and re-organization) under my belt. Wishing I could ask my Grandma Omi SO many questions.
Starting genealogy research can be very hard. Doing it alone can feel impossible.
My family, though loving and supportive as they are, don't have the same level of interest in documents and old photographs as I do. So here I am, looking for a community to bounce ideas off of, and hoping to fill a void in Genealogy Blogging. A void where I can make my own contribution to those new and old to genealogy.
Welcome, and please, make yourself known! Tell me your stories! Give me your opinions! Pick up where I leave off. Maybe, together, we can make the tedious work of searching for ancestors at our dining room tables until early hours of the morning with four cups of coffee down the hatch (NOOOO NOT ME!) a little less lonely. :)
